Beat Scheuzger grew up in Schöftland, Canton Aargau, Switzerland. After completing his studies in mechanical engineering at one of Switzerland's technical universities, he began working as a developer for an engineering firm. As a patent attorney in industry, he acquired experience in the field of industrial property law over a number of years.

Beat Scheuzger joined BOVARD LTD in 1990. He has been an accredited representative to the European Patent Office since 1996. He has been a Member of the General Management of BOVARD LTD since 1999, and became CEO at the end of 2003, a position he held until spring 2013.
