Andreas K. Schlecht was born and grew up in Basle and then obtained his law degree from the Faculty of Law and Economic Sciences of the University of Neuchâtel.

During his studies, Andreas acquired professional experience in several lines of business. He was active in particular for a shipping company. He also participated in the organisation and realisation of several art fairs and important exhibitions.

Before joining BOVARD LTD in 1994, he advised and assisted a contemporary painter and sculptor, and supervised a collection of modern art.
