Are there advantages of a product marked as being patented?
In Switzerland and in numerous other countries the marking of a product as being patented does not give the patent holder any special preferential rights.

On the other hand, the marking of a product as being patented has of course an important impact in advertising and other means of communication. Moreover the patent's dissuasive effect upon possible imitators is increased by means of the marking.
