Yen-Kar Ng

After graduating from the National University of Malaysia with a bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology with Management, Yen-Kar  pursued his master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Bradford, England. He then started in the following year his Ph.D. in the field of neuroscience and received his Ph.D. degree (Dr. rer. nat.) from the Technical University Munich, Germany, for his research on the characterisation of RNAs of the developing brain and their relation to Parkinson’s Disease.

In 2012, he started his career in intellectual property rights in an international patent law firm in Düsseldorf, Germany where he specialised mainly in the areas of chemistry, life sciences, particularly in pharmacology, biotechnology, biochemistry, and stem cell biology.

Yen-Kar joined BOVARD in 2014 and has since been working in diverse patent portfolios across different domains. Apart from chemistry and pharmacology, he has been assisting mandates in their patent applications related to consumer products, structural engineering, mechanical products and processes, watches, building equipment and other technological fields.
