Ritsuko Cordier-Imamura

A native of Tokyo, Ritsuko grew up in a family that instilled a strong sense of openness to the world from an early age. This contrast to her paternal line which focused solely on America was an influencing factor for Ritsuko's career choice.

After studying the humanities in Japan and France, and her first professional experience in the Swiss watchmaking industry, Ritsuko discovered the world of intellectual property, which immediately captured her interest. She went on to specialise in legal secretarial work, before making the transition to paralegal in 2012.

Right from the start of her career, she was responsible for registering the transfer of patent and trade mark rights with the main national IP offices, dealing with topics as varied as succession, bankruptcy, mergers and chain of rights.

This early experience has given her the ability to expertly manage intellectual property rights from their birth to extinction.
