Yvette Kuster

Yvette graduated in physics from the University of Basel. After completing her doctorate in 1998 in experimental physics, she joined the Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology (EMPA). After conducting considerable basic research in the field of nanotechnology, she then embraced the world of intellectual property. Yvette joined a patent law firm in Zurich where she trained as a patent, trade mark and design attorney. She has been loyal to the world of IP ever since.
In 2007, Yvette obtained the registration of European patent attorney. Since the introduction of the qualification procedure in 2011, Yvette is also a registered Swiss patent attorney and builds on her extensive experience in drafting patent applications in English and German gained at a firm in Basel before joining BOVARD at the end of 2024.
Yvette now specialises in inventions in the field of technology, especially in everyday applications in mechanics. Examples are sanitary installations, irrigation systems, public transport, consumer goods, accessories for motor vehicles, packaging as well as manufacturing and procedural processes in these fields. Furthermore, Yvette assists inventors of medical devices and processes as well as actors in the energy efficiency arena.
